Marissa is a healthcare talent leader with over a decade of experience in clinical recruitment. In 2018, she joined a rapidly growing outpatient practice, where she played a key role in launching 10 new clinics and building the foundational recruitment processes needed to support multi-site and multi-state growth. The following year, she stepped into a leadership role in digital health, and since then, has led recruitment teams through significant expansion—building and scaling clinical workforces across both virtual and in-person care models. Marissa has recruited physicians, mental health providers, and advanced practice clinicians in all 50 states and has supported a variety of care models—from traditional fee-for-service to value-based care. ... She’s passionate about partnering closely with senior leaders to align hiring strategies with business goals. Over the years, she’s led initiatives to build recruitment teams from the ground up, improve processes, and strengthen employer branding. Marissa currently leads clinical talent acquisition at Imagine Pediatrics, where she’s focused on building a high-performing provider workforce. The organization serves medically complex children in Texas, Florida, and Washington, D.C.—including more than 20,000 eligible Medicaid patients across Texas alone. She’s also active in the Texas MGMA community, helping plan educational events for healthcare operations leaders, and is excited to deepen her involvement with AAPPR and the broader provider recruitment community. Marissa lives in the Austin area with her husband, their two young boys (5 and 2), and three dogs (2 Great Danes and a cavapoo). Outside of work, she enjoys concerts, being active—whether that’s going for walks, gardening, wake surfing, or snow skiing—and is passionate about food, from exploring new restaurants to cooking at home with herbs and ingredients from her garden.
